Sony MASD is announcing the launch of our first Professional Hard Disk Drive Recording unit, model PHU-60K.  This drive is compatible with the XDCAM EX family of products including the PMW-EX1, PMW-EX3 and PMW-EX30.  The PMW-EX1 camcorders that are currently in the market will require a firmware upgrade to work with the PHU-60K HDD.  This upgrade process will be handled through Sony Broadcast, so please contact them if you have an EX1 camera which needs the update.  The PHU-60K comes with the connection cable and shoe adapter for the EX camcorders.
